Constructions begins at Cramond

Marshall Construction appointed to build latest Walker Healthcare home

Construction will start start on Walker Healthcare’s latest care home following the appointment of a contractor.

Marshall Construction has been appointed to build the Cramond Residence in Edinburgh, after a competitive tendering process.

The 74 en-suite bedroom care home will provide personalised care services for older people and will include a wide range of shared living spaces such as small dining rooms, lounges and activities rooms.

Graeme Kelly, Director of Walker Healthcare explains: “We were impressed with Marshall Construction’s strong track record of building a number of successful developments across the residential care sector. We’re looking forward to starting work on site with them as soon as possible and turning our plans into a reality.”

Marshall Construction will start to notify neighbours about the forthcoming construction work, which will start with laying the foundations for the new building.

Gareth Bland, Business Development Manager for Marshall Construction said: “This is a major development project for Marshall Construction which provides another opportunity for local job creation as well as new apprenticeships, work placements and curriculum support for local colleges and schools.“

Walker Healthcare and Marshall Construction will provide regular updates on construction progress, which will be available on the latest news section.
