They are supported by our extensive facility management teams covering all aspects of care home maintenance and specialist services including health and safety.
Additional skills for hotel services are drawn from a carefully-vetted roster of specialist consultants and subcontractors.
Graeme Kelly
Director
Graeme joined the Walker Group in 1989, with a background in quantity surveying. He was involved in establishing Walker Healthcare in 1995, which was responsible for the development and construction of a number of care homes and hospitals in partnership with the NHS as well as overseeing the operational management. He is now responsible for the general management of Walker Healthcare.
Jim McCallum
Director
Jim comes from an accountancy background and is responsible for the financial control of all of the companies within the James Walker Group, including Walker Healthcare, and the central shared management services to the individual companies within the group.
Alison Newton
Operations Manager
Alison oversees the operation of The Cramond Residence and the network of care homes and hospitals where we work in partnership with the NHS. She has a background of working within care for the NHS and in the private sector. She combines a solid understanding of the operational requirements of a care home with experience of combining care and support services to ensure the smooth running of each home.
David Walker
Facilities Manager
David has a background in law. He is responsible for the hard facilities management aspects of Walker Healthcare, including energy and utilities, and also takes responsibility for furnishing, internal fitting and equipping of Walker Healthcare facilities.
Dugald Glasgow
Project Manager
Dugald has a background in quantity surveying and project management. He is responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing the project teams commissioned by Walker Healthcare to design and build each facility, as well as significant building works required as part of the hard facilities management.
Kim McKinney
Building Manager
Kim is responsible for overseeing the operational management of Ferryfield House care home, run in partnership with the NHS, in Edinburgh and has been with the home since it opened in 1996. She maintains exceptional high standards within the home, ensuring it is in great condition at all times and is compliant with legislation and guidance. She also oversees the catering and hotel services provided by Sodexo.
William Horne
Building Manager
William is responsible for overseeing the operational management of Ellen’s Glen House, run in partnership with the NHS, in Edinburgh. He maintains exceptional high standards within the home, ensuring it is in great condition at all times and is compliant with legislation and guidance. He also oversees the catering, cleaning and hotel services provided by Sodexo.
Danny Hart
Building Manager
Danny was responsible for overseeing the operational management of Mearnskirk House, run in partnership with the NHS, in Newton Mearns, prior to its closure in March 2019. He currently assists the Walker Healthcare management team at Cramond Residence and other sites within the division
Jonathan Prager
Building Manager
Jonathan is responsible for overseeing the operational management of The Meadows, run in partnership with the NHS, in Stockport. He maintains exceptional high standards within the home, ensuring it is in great condition at all times and is compliant with legislation and guidance. He also oversees the catering, cleaning and hotel services provided by Mitie.
Tony Moth
General Manager
Tony is responsible for overseeing the operational management of Highbury Hospital and The Meadows, run in partnership with the NHS, in Nottingham and Stockport, respectively. He maintains exceptional high standards within the home, ensuring it is in great condition at all times and is compliant with legislation and guidance. He is also responsible for management of the 24 hour multi skilled site maintenance team, which is provided by Walker Healthcare.
